Mehatpur (PLN): Anupam Sood, son of Mahinder Pal Sood, the owner of a sweet shop located on Jagraon Marg, Mahatpur, has complained to the local police that 4-5 persons came to his shop and accused him of that he has bought diesel from the person involved in the theft. The shop owner said how can you convict without evidence.
The said person was without uniform and his companions were wearing civil clothes and he said that they are S.T.F. official and he have allegedly bought diesel from a person who sold stolen diesel from vishwakarma petrol pump Nakodar Road Mehatpur.
Later he forcefully dragged him to his private car. Captain Rajwinder Sharma was sitting in his shop. One person, Dhanjit Singh, started shouting without giving any reason. He pressured Captain Sharma to sit in the car but at the same time shopkeepers and local leaders gathered and requested them to give time to come to the police station.
STF took them to the house of the person whom they caught for investigation, he was in a state of intoxication. He asked the police to explain on what basis they are accusing him.
Amandeep Singh ASI treated him very badly. Later, local leaders and shopkeepers gathered and investigated the matter thoroughly and found that the drug addict had bought diesel from the Vishwakarma filling station (and gave them a check of some amount.
About 41,000 rupees, the pump station owner found the check to be fake and it was bounced. This is a clear case of drug addiction and bogus cheque, but due to some influence, the police is considering this fraud case as theft.
He has appealed to the police to get justice. On this occasion, Baljinder Singh Kang, president of Shopkeepers Union, Ramesh Verma, former president of Nagar Panchayat, Ashwani Dhariwal, state president Dr BR Ambedkar Dalit Sena Punjab, Rajkumar M.C, Sushil Aneja Mandal President BJP, Sushil Bawa, Ajay Sud President Dussehra Committee and city dignitaries were present.
