Prize Distribution Function for Verbal Ability classes at HMV

Jalandhar (Aman Bagga): Leading the students to the realization of their full potential and giving them an edge above others, Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organized a series of verbal ability classes under the dynamic directions of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen and astounding co-ordination of Dr. Ramnita Saini Sharda, Dean Innovations. The prize distribution function for honouring the brilliant performers of the classes was organized in which Mr. Irwin Khanna, Member Local Committee graced as the chief guest. The event began with lighting of lamp and reciting of DAV Anthem. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, Dr. Kanwaldeep Kaur, Dr. Ekta Khosla, Dr. Ramnita Saini Sharda and Mrs. Urvashi Mishra accorded a green welcome to Mr. Irwin Khanna, Member Local Committee, Mr. Rohan Mehra, Founder of Terra Education, Mrs. Manjula Chatrath and Mrs. Shilpa Khosla.

Dr. Ramnita Saini Sharda, Coordinator of the classes briefed that the aim of these classes was to bridge the gap between industry and academia. The classes were conducted in collaboration with trainers from Terra-Education. This massive drive lead by HMV made it the first college in the region to impart the training of soft skills to all the students of the institution. She thanked Principal Dr. Sareen who with her constant support and futuristic vision gave them the wings to fly upon.

Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.)Ajay Sareen conveyed her thanks to Terra-Education for putting untiring efforts for the benefit of the students. Calling it an HMV-edge a self devised yardstick, she wished the students to reflect the image of HMV through their modesty and deportment. She happily accepted that others are following the lead set by HMV whether it be celebrating green Diwali, saying no to plastic, planting trees and many more environment friendly gestures.

Mr. Irwin Khanna, Member Local Committee emphasized on the role played by teachers in moulding the life of the students. Students need to put in more efforts beside books in order to succeed as marks alone are not sufficient. He appreciated that this effort of HMV really boosts the confidence of the students. Mr. Rohan Mehra expressed his thanks for the support he received from the institution. Students heaped high praise on the institution for giving them the wonderful opportunity. Terra Education honoured Dr. Ajay Sareen and Dr. Ramnita Saini Sharda for undertaking this novel venture. The students were distributed certificates to conclude the event. The stage was conducted by Ms. Nandini Budhia.
