Liberal Concessions to Meritorious and Deserving Students

Jalandhar (Aman Bagga): Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar has always focused on the holistic development of its students Bestowed with the status of the college of excellence by UGC and accredited. At grade with 3.83 points by NAAC, it endeavours to confer HMV Brilliance Award to its meritorious scholars and even the aspirants making their way to the prestigious institution with creditable academic performance. Under HMV Brilliance Award, at entry level of UG courses, total freeship (with only compulsory charges) is provided to students with 95% and above marks, 10,000/- concession with 90-94.9% marks, Rs. 6000/- concession with 85-89.9% marks and Rs. 4000/- concession with 80-84.9% marks in Board examination.

Scholarships are also given to students holding 1st, 2nd or 3rd position in University. At the entry level of PG Courses, total freeship (only compulsory charges) provided to 1st University position holders, 50% concession in total fees to 2nd University position holders and 35% concession in total fee to 3rd University position holders.

Keeping in mind the financial needs of different sections of the society, scholarship are given to fatherless and parentless students under Mahatma Anand Swami Shikshit Beti Mission, to differently abled students under HMV provide wings mission, on poverty basis under Maharishi Dayanand Unnat Beti Mission and to the single girl child under Mahatma Hans Raj Beti Padao Mission, Sister concession is also provided to siblings of students already admitted here. Besides generous concessions are given to players. In session 2018-19, Scholarship and concessions to the tune of appx. Rs. 85 lakh (85,26,983/-) were disbursed to 769 students.
