HMV host short term course on UBA 2.0 (Unnat Bharat Abhiyan)

Jalandhar( PLN) A short term course on UBA 2.0 (Unnat Bharat Abhiyan) was organised by NITTTR, Chandigarh & Mehar Chand Polytechnic College, Jalandhar in collaboration with Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya. The duration of the course is from 29th July to 2nd August, 2019. The Chief Guest was Mrs. Ashika Jain, IAS, Joint Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar. Prof. U.N. Roy, Prof. & Head, NITTTR, Chandigarh, Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, Prof. Jagroop Singh, Principal Mehr Chand Polytechnic & UBA Coordinator HMV, Dr. Raminta Saini Sharda Welcomed her. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen said that if we will extend positive things to nature, the nature will give us positivity in return.
Prof U.N. Roy told about some guidelines for making UBA successful. He also talked about the background of UBA. Mrs. Ashika Jain discussed about the disadvantages of plastic, merits of organic farming & water management. She also said that people are not fully aware about that.
In the course of these five days the participants will meet Sant Seechewal and also visit Pingalwara, Amritsar. The day began with Prof. U.N. Roy’s lecture on Rural Development. In the afternoon session, UBA coordinator Dr. Ramnita Saini Sharda gave a detailed presentation on How to work with the administration and make a difference in the Rural India.
The participants on the course are from Technical Institutions of U.P., Uttrakhand, Haryana, Punjab and Chandigarh. Dr. Ramnita Saini Sharda also gave her views on Unnat Bharat Abhiyaan. She also thanked the participants of the programme.
